Legal help that feels human.
Clear scope, clear pricing, and a lawyer who answers your questions in plain English. Real estate closings, estate planning, business law, trademarks and copyrights, and mediation, handled by an award-winning attorney with 20 years of experience.
The problem with mostlegal help
You shouldn't need a law degree to understand your own legal work. Too many people hire a lawyer without knowing what it will cost, what they're getting, or when they'll hear back. That uncertainty is stressful, and it's avoidable.
Why clients choose Gailliard Law
Legal help from wherever you are
Gailliard Law is a virtual law firm. We meet by phone or video, so there's no commute, no parking, and no waiting room. You can reach me from your home, your office, or your phone.
You know the price before we start
Most services are flat-fee, with exactly what's included spelled out. If your matter needs more, I tell you and quote it before any extra work begins.
Fair prices, because of how I practice
A virtual practice means lower overhead than a traditional downtown office, and that helps me keep my fees clear and reasonable.
You get plain English
I explain your options, the risks, and what I recommend, without the legalese.
You work directly with an experienced attorney
Twenty years of practice, an awardwinning record, and admission to practice in New York State and the federal courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of New York.
One firm for the moments that matter
Buying a home, protecting your family, starting a business, protecting your brand, or resolving a dispute: you don't have to start over with a new lawyer each time.
All consultations include a non-refundable fee of $100.
Hi, I'm Glinnesa Gailliard, and I'm glad you're here.
For 20 years, I've helped individuals, investors, and business owners through the moments that matter most: buying and selling property, protecting their families, forming and growing businesses, and defending what they've built. I'm an award-winning attorney, and I bring that same care to every matter, whether it's a first will or a federal trademark case.
Gailliard Law is a virtual boutique law firm based in Albany, NY. I built it that way on purpose: you get a skilled attorney's full attention without the office visits, the travel, or the overhead. I started it because I believe legal help should be clear, kind, and fairly priced.
That means no mystery about what you're paying for, no jargon, and no disappearing act after you hire me. You'll know what's included, what it costs, and what comes next before we start. And when something unexpected comes up, as it sometimes does in real estate, business, and life, you'll hear it from me first, along with a plan.

Services and pricing
Real estate closings
A closing is one of the largest financial transactions most people ever make. I review the contract, handle the title work, and represent you at the closing, for a fee you know up front
Individual buyers and sellers:
$750
For a person buying or selling their primary residence. A basic closing includes:
- Initial review of your contract of sale
- Title request (where applicable) and review of the title report
- Representation at your closing
If additional negotiation is needed:
$1,000
If your transaction calls for additional negotiation, such as inspection issues or basic title work, the fee increases by a flat $250. It's the same $250 whether one issue comes up or several.
Investors:
$1,000
For a person or entity buying or selling real property that will not be their primary residence. The same basic closing, including any additional negotiation, for one flat fee.
Matters that go beyond the above, such as title defects requiring curative action, extended or repeated closing dates, evictions, or disputes, are quoted before work begins.
Estate Planning
Make your own decisions now, so the court and state law don't make them for you later. Without a plan, state law decides who inherits your property, and a court decides who cares for your minor children. A will or trust puts those choices in your hands.

|---|---|
| Individual | $750 |
| Couple | $1,200 |
